Wondering about things to do at the Waco Air Museum in Troy, Ohio? Exciting for airplane enthusiasts of all ages… It’s time to add the WACO Air Museum to your Ohio bucket list! The museum includes 10 vintage aircrafts, engines, memorabilia, and a Hartzell propeller display. You can also try flying a WACO simulator! But wait there’s more…
What else can I add to my Ohio bucket list?
The really exciting thing about this place is that you can ride in an open cockpit bi-plane. Yes! You get to ride in a beautiful red or yellow WACO plane. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience (not cheap, but worth it)! You can schedule it through the museum or sign up for it during an event.
What else is there to do here? Any special events?
On the 3rd weekend in September WACO owners and other pilots show off their planes at the annual WACO Fly-In. Many vintage aircraft fly in to be part of the weekend celebration. If you are an aviation lover, then you’ll want to mark your calendar for this exciting day! It is spectacular seeing all of the old planes. There is always a great turnout.
The museum also holds STEM related camps for kids.
Sounds great! What else do I need to know?
Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for students 7-17. Under 7 is free and there is a $1 military discount. However, I recommend getting your tickets from Groupon (like we did)! An audio tour is included with admission.
The museum is handicap accessible and they have 2 wheelchairs available.
